How do you avoid costly mistakes on the road to becoming a prime contractor?

If you are a successful, growing Government subcontractor who is thinking about pursuing an opportunity as a Government prime contractor, then you need to consider the regulations, responsibilities, and the increasingly competitive landscape before making the leap from subcontractor to prime.

Develop a Mean Capabilities Statement to Win Government Contracts

    December 8, 2021 @ 3:30 am - 4:45 am +12

Capability statement is a must in government contracting world to help government contractors market their services to the government and present their capabilities to teaming partners. It helps present a professional face to the world when exhibiting at different events such as trade shows or conferences.

It is not a simple brochure, however. Many government contractors miss an opportunity to put the right kinds of information on their capability statement. They also use a static brochure that is often irrelevant to the audience, too broad, and out of date because it’s hard to modify.

Capability statements come in different forms that are appropriate for various venues. They must tell a compelling story about your company. And they must help you present the right image to prospective customers and teammates.

This course covers various types of capability statements and their most appropriate uses. It also shows you how to create and best tailor your capability statement to the government clients and teaming partners.

Improper CPARS, Good Faith, and Fair Dealing

    December 10, 2021 @ 5:30 am - 6:30 am +12

Good contractors know that maximizing contract award opportunities is the key to success. They also know that past performance is a critically important part of getting new work. It is not surprising, then, that contractors feel very strongly about the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), and the CPARS ratings they get in connection with contracts they have performed. At the same time, most contractors don’t have a thorough understanding of the big picture when it comes to CPARS – many don’t know what to do if they disagree with a CPARS rating. Do you know what to do if you get a CPARS rating that is inaccurate, unfair, or unjustified? In this webinar, experienced government contracting attorney Maria Panichelli will teach attendees about the basics of CPARS, as well as the rights and remedies contractors have in connection with the same. The webinar will also cover good faith and fair dealing issues, both in the CPARS context and other contexts.

    March 3, 2022 @ 5:30 am - 7:00 am +12

The Defense Department paused implementation of the CMMC 1.0 program by introducing CMMC 2.0 through an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published November 4, 2021. DoD did not pause compliance with FAR 52.204-2 or DFARS 252.204-7012.

Your company’s level of CMMC 2.0 “cyber hygiene” will directly impact your eligibility to contract or subcontract with the Defense Department (and likely non-DoD agencies such as the GSA and the DHS) as well as impact your competitive posture anywhere in the DoD supply or service chain.
