Modernizing Talent Management in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. (MTM VMD) is a project reshaping recruitment by equipping employers and candidates to succeed via a skills-based and inclusive approach.

Our reverse job fair (March 19 2025) prioritizes skill and proficiency, aligning with professional workforce standards. We prepare and connect neurodiverse talent and employers.

What is a reverse job fair?

• A reverse job fair flips the traditional job fair format – we showcase talent and match candidates to employers. 

• We get employers out from behind the table to engage with candidates.

• We help cut through noisy hiring processes by getting candidates to show you what they can do.

How do I take part?

• We have a ‘menu’ for employers where you can choose how much you want to engage, whether it is full participation, scouting for talent, or you just want to explore this opportunity.

What kinds of jobs qualify for the fair?

• Any entry level position e.g., internships and jobs. All positions must be paid.

• We encourage in-person, hybrid and remote positions – your organization does not need to be based in Virginia, Maryland or D.C.

• Roles can be technical (e.g., systems engineering) or non-technical (e.g., data protection and security awareness). See the FAQ for details.

What is the candidate profile?

• Our entry-level candidates come from 4-year and community colleges

• Our career changers are Virginians recruited via the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services.
