2020 Regional Elected Leaders Initiative

Since 2018, the Regional Elected Leaders Initiative (RELI) has brought Northern Virginia’s elected leaders together to focus on regional challenges. RELI programs and events are uniquely designed for NOVA’s elected officials.

This year’s webinar series will address the impacts of COVID and social equity on some of our region’s major public policy challenges.

The 2020 RELI program focuses on 4 areas that impact the region in a 4 part webinar series:

  1. September 25 – Housing: Regional Needs, Historic Land Use and Zoning Impacts, and Paths Forward
  2. September 25 – Economic Development: Impacts of COVID in NOVA
  3. October 23 – Transportation: Moving Adults and Schoolkids In a COVID-Impacted Region
  4. October 23 – Climate Action: Opportunities and Obstacles for NOVA Schools and Local Governments
