Difference between Networking & Selling

It has been said and rightly so that “Until something is sold, nothing is about to happen”. Meaning services/products get delivered only AFTER sales occur. “Sales” then is the tail end of the business development cycle for our purposes here.

Then where does Networking fit into this?
Most of the people you meet in Networking arenas might or will not use your service. This also means most of them will not buy your service. And by extension, this means that they are not per se candidates for your promotion/marketing or sales.

In actual fact, on average, of all the people you meet, only 1 out of 10 buy what you offer.

What do you do then?

We have discovered that Networking comes under “PUBLIC RELATIONS”. The goal of “Public Relations” is to create “goodwill” and “acceptance”. So you have there the goal of Networking as well!

So now you have a clear sequence, a 1, 2, and 3, namely:

NETWORKING —> PROMOTION —> SALES

In that order, similar to:

IGNITION key in —> GEAR Shifting —> PEDAL to the Metal

As you know changing or violating the above sequence will not get YOU to your destination.

Mastering the above business development sequence is how you achieve “PROFITS”.

And that is what you will master at the upcoming:
