FCEDA’s 2026 Tech and Cyber Hiring Event Draws Record Attendance, Connecting Talent to Critical Hiring Needs

Attendees fill Capital One Hall for the FCEDA’s Annual Tech and Cyber Networking and Hiring event.

At Capital One Hall in Tysons, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) celebrated record-breaking attendance for this year’s Tech and Cyber Networking and Hiring event on January 22, 2026. Forty employers met with hundreds of job seekers from across the region, bringing together talent from a wide range of backgrounds and experience, including those holding active security clearances. Employers connected with transitioning federal workers and contractors, veterans, and students choosing to take the next step in their careers.

One attendee shared her success story following the hiring event on LinkedIn.

Courtney Earll was hired in her new role at Fairfax-based company, Information Management Group (IMG), within two weeks of the event.

“IMG was the first or second table I sought out,” said Earll. “I spoke with my now boss, Joe, and told him I was a technical writer. I was an outlier in a sea of engineers and analysts. I got an interview out of that brief conversation.”

Courtney exemplifies the strength of our talent here in Fairfax NOVA and we thank her for inspiring others with her story.

The FCEDA’s Tech + Cyber Networking and Hiring series has become a cornerstone of Fairfax NOVA’s talent attraction and employer engagement strategy. This event has grown into a sustained pipeline of targeted hiring initiatives that match talent with companies and it plays a critical role in keeping top, deep-tech talent here in the Greater Washington region. Through the FCEDA’s talent hub, workinffxnova.com, the region has created a Northern Virginia marketplace that connects top candidates with employers. Visitors to the platform can access a wide range of open roles, industry resources, and targeted career pathways, reinforcing the region’s capacity to meet the demand for high-end skills. The platform also has resources designated for our military, veteran, early career, and displaced federal worker communities.

Thank you to the companies that joined us to connect with exceptional talent, and to the many professionals who attended in search of new opportunities. We look forward to welcoming even more employers and job seekers to next year’s Tech and Cyber Networking and Hiring event.
