The Virginia Office of the Governor plays a pivotal role in providing discretionary resources to qualifying companies tailored to criteria set by state legislation and aimed at bolstering job creation and investment in the area. In 2020, Fairfax County created the Economic Incentive Program (EIP) to offer advantages to companies who develop property in certain parts of the county. Benefits include a reduction of site plan fees and a partial abatement of real estate taxes.
