Virginia: A Gateway to US – Africa Trade

Africa is the second fastest growing region in the world. Africa has entered a cycle of strong economic growth that will rival that experienced by Asia over the past decade. A successful strategy to invest in Africa requires an understanding of the diverse opportunities across the continent’s 54 countries.

The virtual summit will focus on promoting trade between Africa and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The trade and investment opportunities that arised from the recently implemented African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement will be presented. We will bring together U.S. and Africa businesses, investors, and trade organizations to facilitate new investment opportunities into Africa.

Our panel discussion will focus on opportunities in agriculture, transportation and logistics, education, innovative healthcare, safety and security, manufacturing, and investments. Additionally, we will be discussing the U.S. Africa trade policy and how we can strengthen trade and investments between U.S. and Africa.
