Korean Companies in the US Find Success in Fairfax

Korean companies will find the chance to shine in Fairfax County.

This hub of technology and innovation on the United States East Coast provides an affordable yet strategic alternative to competitors. More than 60 Korean companies are part of this dynamic and diverse business community. It is second only to the U.K.  

Wise business leaders are already taking advantage of the highly skilled workforce in Fairfax County. It is one of the safest regions of its size and population. A large Korean population also makes it an attractive choice for companies looking to relocate workers and settle in the U.S.  

It offers a time zone that makes working globally more efficient. Nearly one-third of the county’s population is international. Diversity and inclusion in the workplace remain a top priority here.  

Fairfax County links to global markets through Washington Dulles International Airport, which serves more than 50 international destinations. A major connection served includes the Incheon International Airport in South Korea. The Dulles airport is located just outside Washington, D.C. It also includes leading government contractors, a mix of more than 10,000 technology businesses and global headquarters for outstanding companies. A few of the largest business conglomerates include Mars and Northrop Grumman.  

It boasts strength in government and defense technology, but Fairfax County’s diverse ecosystem is also evident in cybersecurity and communications. Multiple companies in South Korea have already selected Fairfax County as their U.S. home of choice, including Korea Business Development Center and Hanwha.

Several unique factors make Fairfax a destination region for businesses, including the location and ease of access to international and domestic cities, such as Los Angeles and New York. Another is the favorable business incentives from the U.S. government aid growth. Everything from telecom to petrochemicals companies leverage the benefits of simplified supply chain management and the logistic network available here.
