Executive Spotlight: TechnoMile’s Ashish Khot Innovates GovCon with AI

TechnoMile CEO, Ashish Khot, is shaking up government contracting. TechnoMile is an AI-solutions company based in Tysons, VA, that aims to automate and optimize government contracting in the Aerospace, Defense, and Space Tech industries. Khot is an established innovator in the government contracting world, and TechnoMile works to embed AI into each step of the contracting lifecycle. Fairfax’s bustling Tech network and proximity to government clientele made it the best choice for Khot to establish his company.

The Fairfax Economic Development Authority sat down with Ashish Khot to talk the future of AI in government contracting, what makes talent in Northern Virginia unique, and expanding TechnoMile’s workforce in Fairfax NOVA.

FCEDA: To start, can you tell us a bit about TechnoMile—your mission, your growth story, and what you do?

Ashish Khot: TechnoMile is a leading provider of AI-powered solutions purpose-built to help companies manage the complexities of doing business with the government. Our mission is to transform the way government contractors, Aerospace and Defense, and Space Tech companies find, pursue, win, and manage federal contracts by leveraging our AI platform and industry-specific software to accelerate their pipeline development, optimize BD, capture, and proposal processes, streamline contract management, enhance compliance, and mitigate risk throughout the entire lifecycle of government sales.

Founded to address the unique complexities of selling to and working with the government, TechnoMile has experienced strong growth by helping both emerging and well-established contractors increase efficiency, reduce risk, and gain a competitive advantage.

FCEDA: What initially led TechnoMile to establish its presence in Fairfax County?

Ashish Khot: Fairfax County offers proximity to a rich pool of government contracting firms, as well as a vibrant tech ecosystem, making it an ideal location for a company at the intersection of technology and government. Being in the heart of Northern Virginia, TechnoMile is strategically positioned to stay closely connected to both our customers and prospective clients and keep our finger on the pulse of the dynamic and rapidly evolving federal marketplace. This fast-paced region also gives us direct access to a highly skilled, diverse pool of professionals, enabling us to attract and retain top-tier talent that drives innovation and client success.

FCEDA: What sets TechnoMile apart from other vendors that serve government contractors in the region?

Ashish Khot: TechnoMile’s core differentiator is its purpose-built AI platform that delivers automation, intelligence, and insight across the entire government contracting lifecycle—from opportunity discovery and capture management to contract award, compliance, risk management, and closeout. This end-to-end platform enables scalability for growing companies, allowing small and medium-sized contractors to streamline operations and compete effectively, while providing large enterprises with advanced, robust capabilities tailored to the complex demands of federal contracting. Unlike new entrants or companies offering only one or two of these capabilities, TechnoMile’s AI-driven, industry-specific platform ensures seamless integration, compliance, and data-driven decision-making. Additionally, unlike ERP systems that claim to expand into these capabilities but lack a flexible platform, TechnoMile delivers a best-in-class solution that integrates seamlessly with leading ERP systems, enhancing existing infrastructure while optimizing government contracting workflows.

FCEDA: What emerging trends in GovCon do you believe contractors should prepare for?

Ashish Khot: Government contractors should prepare for the growing influence of AI across nearly every department—from business development and capture to legal, compliance, and operations. AI is no longer siloed; it’s becoming embedded in the day-to-day fabric of how organizations work, driving faster decisions, smarter opportunity evaluation, improved risk and compliance management, and greater automation. At the same time, policy shifts tied to the new administration are reshaping federal priorities, demanding leaner, more agile approaches. Organizations that embrace AI-driven workflows and can quickly adapt to new procurement dynamics will be best positioned to compete and grow.
