Contract Types and Associated Risks

Governments Contractors will learn the benefits and risks carried by each type of contract (prime or subcontract) when working with the Federal Government.  In this course, contractor will receive an overview of various contract types available to government contractors, why certain contract types are utilized, preferences by the government, and risk associated with contract type. This foundation of contract types will ensure your business understands the risk when pursuing new opportunities.

Instructor Jacob Barclay is Chief Editor of GovCon Digest and President of Barclay Group, LLC, a Hampton Roads based consulting firm specialized in assisting small businesses with federal government contracting accounting and compliance. Jacob’s accounting and contracts knowledge is derived from the past decade working alongside government contractors ranging from start-up to Fortune 50 companies. Jacob enjoys giving back to the local Hampton Roads community through his role as President of the Tidewater Association of Service Contractors.
