CARFAX Relocates Corporate HQ to Reston Station

CARFAX, the vehicle data company, has signed a lease for approximately 87,000 square feet of office space across three floors at 1906 Reston Metro Plaza in Reston Station, property developer and manager Comstock Companies announced. CARFAX expects to complete the move into its new space by the end of 2025.

“We are thrilled to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters to Reston Station,” CARFAX CEO Bill Eager said in a press release. “This move marks a pivotal moment in our company’s journey, providing us with a dynamic space that will serve as the foundation for our next phase of growth.”

Reston Station, part of the broader Fairfax County area, is among the largest mixed-use developments in the mid-Atlantic region, spanning 90 acres around the Wiehle-Reston East Station on Metro’s Silver Line. This area features Trophy-Class office buildings that serve as national or regional headquarters for Google, ICF International, Spotify, and more. Reston’s position within Fairfax County highlights the area’s growth as a hub for top-tier businesses and innovation.

 

Fairfax County Builds on Solid Foundation Establishing Friendship Agreement with Yong-in Special City, South Korea

Fairfax County took another step toward strengthening global ties by officially establishing a friendship agreement with Yong-in Special City, South Korea. This partnership aims to foster cultural exchanges and economic relations between South Korea and Fairfax County. Fairfax County is home to over 80 Korean companies, making Korea the country with the largest business presence in the jurisdiction.

Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, seized the opportunity to deepen ties with Korea at this year’s CES® trade show in Las Vegas.

 

“Our county’s relationship with Korea spans nearly two decades, largely driven by a strong industry match, especially in AI technology,” Hoskins said. “Korea’s cutting-edge advancements in AI and healthcare align perfectly with Fairfax County’s growing industries.” (Read more about CES® in the Korea Herald)

 

In Fairfax County, Korean is the third most spoken language. Virginia has the sixth-largest Korean population in the U.S., and the D.C. area is the third-largest Korean metro region in the country. Annandale and Centreville are key centers for community with a robust Korean culture, from restaurants to businesses. Korean Americans also play a big part in the County’s diverse population making up 20.5% of Fairfax County.
