Building a Quantum Future Starts in Fairfax NOVA
As we celebrate World Quantum Day, Fairfax NOVA stands at the forefront of quantum innovation. Home to the annual Quantum World Congress, we have become a global hub for quantum technology, bringing together visionaries, researchers, and industry leaders to shape the future.
In 2024, the Quantum World Congress in Tysons attracted over 1,000 participants from 30 countries, featuring groundbreaking advancements in quantum computing and its integration with AI. This convergence of technologies is set to revolutionize fields like space commercialization, biochemistry and materials science.
As the global quantum ecosystem gains momentum, infrastructure needs are also rapidly evolving. Area Development’s recent cover story, “Is It Time to Start Planning for Quantum Data Centers?”, highlights the urgency to prepare for a new generation of computing and storage needs driven by quantum advancements.
The article underscores Fairfax NOVA’s unique readiness—powered by its location, talent, cybersecurity ecosystem, and dense fiber infrastructure—to host quantum-ready data centers. With quantum and AI accelerating at a breakneck pace, companies will need to co-locate quantum research and production facilities with data environments purpose-built for ultra-low latency, security, and adaptability. Fairfax NOVA already offers this combination and continues to invest in what’s next.
The Future is Our Frontier: Quantum Innovation in Action
Fairfax NOVA is home to major global players actively pushing the boundaries of quantum technology through local partnerships, R&D investments, and national leadership. Here are just a few examples:
- Booz Allen Hamilton: At the Forefront of the Quantum Revolution
