Booz Allen Hamilton and Comstock Companies announced Booz Allen will relocate its global headquarters from McLean to Reston in Fairfax County.

“Booz Allen is one of our region’s most respected employers, and we are proud they will continue to call Fairfax County home,” said Jeffrey C. McKay, Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. “Their decision to relocate within the county reflects the strength of our innovation ecosystem and the long-term stability it provides to companies at the forefront of missions of consequence. Booz Allen’s continued investment supports thousands of jobs in our community and reinforces the role Fairfax County plays in driving national security, digital modernization, and technological advancement.”

The company will occupy a newly constructed facility in The Row at Reston Station—the newest phase of Comstock’s Reston Station development—designed to upgrade and enhance the Booz Allen employee experience while streamlining operating costs.

“We continue to invest in an innovative, optimized Booz Allen. Our new headquarters will provide our people, partners, and customers with upgraded resources to build the technologies that support national missions while rightsizing our facilities footprint,” said Kristine Martin Anderson, chief operating officer at Booz Allen.

The new location reflects the evolving needs of Booz Allen’s business, which requires flexible spaces that can enable and accelerate the company’s advanced technology capabilities.

“Booz Allen’s workforce strategy is centered on optimizing resources to help our highly technical workforce unlock innovation, today and into the future,” said Jen Wagner, chief administrative officer at Booz Allen.

The new headquarters will include both 1870 Reston Row Plaza and multiple floors of 1800 Reston Row Plaza. Interior build-out in the recently completed building is scheduled to begin in Summer 2026, with the new space expected to open in Fall 2027.

“Booz Allen has been a top employer and business leader in the Washington metro area for decades. The Row at Reston Station reflects the best of Northern Virginia’s economy, tech talent, and modern conveniences, and we are honored to welcome Booz Allen as part of our community,” said Tim Steffan, chief operating officer of Comstock.

Booz Allen is an advanced technology company delivering outcomes with speed for America’s most critical defense, civil, and national security priorities. The firm employs approximately 32,500 people globally as of September 30, 2025, and had revenue of $12 billion for the 12 months ended March 31, 2025.

“Booz Allen has been a valued member of the Fairfax County business community for many years, and I want to thank them for their continued investment in our community,” said Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. “Their decision to remain here and relocate their global headquarters within the county reflects a thoughtful approach to their people, operations, and client needs. We look forward to continuing to support Booz Allen as they transition to their new home in Reston.”

Reston Station is among the largest mixed-use, transit-oriented developments in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is among the largest collections of new Trophy office, hotel, and residential towers in Northern Virginia. Covering ~90 acres, spanning the Dulles Toll Road, and surrounding the Wiehle-Reston East Station on Metro’s Silver Line, Reston Station is home to multiple office buildings that serve as national or regional headquarters for Google, ICF International, CARFAX, Spotify, Qualtrics International, Rolls-Royce of America, and numerous others.

Reston Station is home to more than 2,000 residents in townhomes, mid-rise, and high-rise towers, including Comstock’s two BLVD luxury apartment towers. Reston Station’s signature retail and entertainment offerings include a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot flagship VIDA Fitness and Spa facility, Founding Farmers, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Starbucks, Tous les Jours, CVS, Big Buns, Sweet Leaf, Matchbox, and Scissors & Scotch. Coming soon to Reston Station will be Noku Sushi and Ebbitt House, the first-ever expansion of D.C.’s iconic Old Ebbitt Grill brand.
