DESCRIPTION:The 10X YOUR CONFIDENCE WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT LUNCHEON is being held at the upscale Black Wall Hitch Restaurant in Alexandria\, Virginia\, located on the edge of the National Harbor\, directly next to Founder’s Park and steps from the waterfront. \nOver a 3-course\, high-end meal experience\, Rochelle “SLAY” Queen Hemingway will offer a workshop filled with EMPOWERING strategies\, tools\, and techniques to significantly increase your confidence to realize desired professional or personal success. \nAccording to the 2021 Women’s Confidence Report\, “The more confident women are\, the easier it is for them to act. Confidence empowers them to write\, talk\, raise their hand\, raise their fists\, get involved in politics\, and even start a business. A lack of confidence can just as easily prevent women from thriving on a personal level as it can inhibit them from contributing to their communities in a meaningful way. These matters impact us all. Because when women thrive\, societies prosper.” \nThis is also an opportunity to network and to share life experiences with other POWERFUL women who actively show up as their best selves demonstrating the confidence that is mandated in their life! \nAdditionally\, we are partnering with the Women Inclusion Project led by Air Force Veteran\, Suzanne Hambrick\, by taking hygiene products to support girls in the local community. \n1 in 5 girls misses school due to a lack of menstrual products. We are donating feminine care products to low-income schools located in Washington D.C. We are accepting donations of 100% cotton feminine care products-meaning cotton grown without any harsh insecticides or pesticides and free of any grange lances dyes and harsh chemicals. \nA list of companies that fit this description are: \nCora\, Rael\, Public Goods (bamboo)\, L.\, Organic\, The Seventh Generation\, The Honey Pot (not all are organic)\, Lola\, OI\, and Livlit. \nABOUT THE HOST: \nWhen Rochelle “SLAY Queen” Hemingway graduated from Northwestern High School located in Kokomo\, Indiana\, she decided to pursue further education as an Occupational Therapist. After a year of college at the Indiana University of Kokomo Indiana\, she decided to enter the United States Air Force on August 4th\, 1991. \nDuring her military career\, she started as a medical technician. Later\, she served as an Independent Duty Medical Technician\, First Sergeant\, Inspector General Self-Assessment Program Manager\, Medical Group Superintendent\, and Command Chief Master Sergeant. \nOne of the biggest challenges of Rochelle’s life was serving and leading as a Chief Master Sergeant. A few months after she found out she achieved the rank of Chief; she was deployed to the countries of Jordan and Kuwait for 6 months as the Medical Group Superintendent at both locations. When she returned from the deployment\, she was selected to serve as the Command Chief Master Sergeant at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. She led the wing’s enlisted force and served as the primary advisor to the commander on all matters concerning the morale\, welfare\, warfighting effectiveness\, operational utilization\, and professional development of nearly 3\,200 enlisted Airmen and 8\,000 total personnel who support the largest B-1 combat wing in the U.S. Air Force. \nShe led through the onset of the pandemic\, racial and social unrest\, multiple unexpected tragedies\, and significant base mission changes. She motivated herself and others to get through these difficulties by using the word “SLAY”. \nRochelle’s life and leadership philosophies are based on preparation\, character\, psychological safety\, and resilience. \nEven though Rochelle has over 30 years of leadership experience in unprecedented conditions in both the military and civilian sectors\, she is still on a journey to become an even stronger leader. She recently achieved her Master of Science degree in strategic leadership. \nRochelle “SLAY Queen” retired in October 2021 after serving 30 years in the United States Air Force. She is currently the CEO and Founder of SLAY To Success\, LLC\, a leadership and transformational consultant business\, where she empowers women with UNCONVENTIONAL leadership\, mindset\, wellness strategies\, tools\, and techniques to step up and into their next big dream\, goal\, role\, or aspiration with 10X confidence by using a simple framework without sacrificing health\, relationships\, opportunities\, or happiness. She also self-published her first book titled “SLAY To Success”\, guides 800+ women in the SLAY To Success Facebook community\, works as an independent subcontracted facilitator for Air Force Global Strike Command’s Striker Leadership Course\, and is frequently sought out to speak in-person and on virtual platforms. \n
