SUMMARY:Understanding GSA MAS (Multiple Award Schedules)
DESCRIPTION:Want to get your product or service on the GSA Schedule and having trouble trying to stay current with the recent GSA Schedule market changes? Is your company tired of chasing down and keeping abreast Government contracts changes? The Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Consolidation initiative\, effective October 1st\, 2019 included 24 GSA-Managed schedules. This consolidation made it easier for the Government to find your business and also made it easier for you to find work. Organized by large categories\, subcategories\, and SINs\, it is important to understand both how to structure your application and understand the terms & conditions.\nCourse Objective: Students will learn the fundamentals of submitting a successful proposal to the General Services Administration. Students will learn where to find the GSA Multiple Award schedule and what they have to do to submit a compliant proposal. Neither the Virginia PTAC nor the instructor can make any guarantee that the Government will actually issue a contract to the student’s company\, but all the preliminary instruction will be provided. \nInstructor Gregory D. Ayres is a retired Army Medical Service Corps officer who worked with both large and small companies to develop GSA schedules. In 2000 Mr. Ayres founded a consulting firm to assist small business to qualify for GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) and grow their revenue. SUMMARY:How to Get More Out of Your 8(a) Designation
DESCRIPTION:Many companies fill out piles of paperwork to apply for the 8(a) program\, but a few years into the program feel that they are not getting quite the payoff they had expected. The program has many benefits\, but targeting sole source contracts may seem like searching for a needle in a haystack. Additionally\, preparing for an 8(a) set aside competition requires a deliberate strategy that may involve enticing the incumbent to join your team. Opportunities rarely leave the 8(a) program once entered. The answer is not only how to identify the 8(a) opportunities in advance\, but how to navigate the challenges of knowing which opportunity is real\, what graduating companies may be looking for a successor to take over the role of the prime contractor\, and how to get in front of the right decision makers in the government and industry. This session focuses on developing a cohesive strategy to get the most from your 8(a) designation and develop an opportunities pipeline in the 8(a) program. \nOlessia Smotrova\, CF.APMP Fellow\, president and CEO of OST Global Solutions\, Inc. SUMMARY:Utilizing the Indirect Rate Methodology for Managing Your GovCon Company Finances
