GovCon - Understanding Federal Agile Adoption

Date:
Wednesday, August 23, 2017
Time:
7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Do you know what the Agile Manifesto is?  What a SCRUM Master does? Are you Essentially Kanban?

For many years, the Federal government has struggled to implement Agile management processes. There are a far range of issues that have risen as agencies and contractors work to implement Agile.  While many agencies have successfully implemented the Agile model, others, as witnessed by the recent announcement from DHS on their Agile Flash program, have put light on the difficulties faced as agencies transition to this product management process.  Contractors, faced with the different models and challenges, have developed successful approaches to move the process along but in many cases have not achieved full implementation.

This event will feature Agile experts that have hands on experience implementing Agile in the federal space and will discuss candidly the hurdles and challenges faced in transitioning federal agencies to Agile.  This will also be a time for small contractors to learn about opportunities in the federal Agile area.
